Thought I would say hello, I took delivery of my Dolphin Design on Monday in Jet Black and Atlantic Grey. Coming from a Volvo XC40.
Just had the ODO hit 100 miles today.
First Impressions - I really like the car, I ordered it because the deal was too good to pass, I had never seen one in person until the day before mine was to be delivered, watched lots of you tube videos to get the heads up.
The warning sounds are nowhere as bad as reviewers say, the car is very nice to drive, did come on the Linglong tyres which I thought were being changed but so far they have kept me on the road! They do have little dolphins and the shape of the lightbar on the side walls. The ‘Build Your Dreams’ badge in the light bar isn’t that intrusive and tbh I don’t really care as I’m inside driving it. Sound system seems good, it’s better than the standard Volvo one by a mile - not as good as the HK one in the wife’s mini. CarPlay is wireless and works well. I did have to make a call to the dealer to get the QR code working for the app and after about 48hrs the inbuilt SIM started working.
Wish list - I do miss the powered tailgate, dash cam would have been good and I’ve watched the videos of how to install but I’m not going to take apart the interior to do it.
I wish there was the option to choose wheel design as not the biggest fan of the tri-colour wheel, I would of ordered the black roof/white body car to get the other wheels but there was no stock available so didn’t bother waiting.
Heated steering wheel would also of been nice and lastly there is a kit to go under the bonnet to give a small ‘frunk’ but currently only available for left hand drive cars.
Love the deep lipped rubber mats to keep the winter grime contained. Did take it for a quick blast up the motorway and road and wind noise again I didn’t see as an issue.
Overall a big thumbs up so far and hope to see more of you on the road
Morning all
I have had mine for about four months now ( same colour combination).
I do find the wind noise at 60+ a bit intrusive and the reflection of the dash on the windshield a bit annoying, but overall after 4k miles it feels OK and no range anxiety so far so far.
